Skills for Care

Skills for Care, the Sector Skills Council for health and social care, administer Department of Health funding called the Training Strategy Implementation (TSI) Fund.  This fund is used to support employers with workforce development and is intended to help social care providers enable their workforce to achieve “units of competence”.  This means units from National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) or the induction of new staff.  Used in this way, TSI will contribute to employers task of building the skill base of their organisation, build the competence of their staff to full NVQ and meet the workforce development and training and education requirements of the National Minimum Standards.

This fund is managed through contracts with employer led partnerships, and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership for Care (CWPC) manages the TSI fund on behalf of social care providers who are CWPC members.
