Welcome To Warwickshire Quality Partnership
As a result of a re-structure within the Strategic Commissioning Division and realignment of services across Adult, Health & Community Services, WQP is no longer in existence. As a member of WQP you would have accessed various services and engaged with us in different ways. I know Lisa would wish to join me in thanking you all for your support, information, direction and good friendships which have helped to ensure positive outcomes for us and the Partnership.
On a personal note, we are still within the Directorate and from the 1st April, I am Market Facilitation Team Manager and Lisa Market Facilitation Officer. We have been joined by Kiren Dhami, Research & Planning Officer and Emma Phelan,Administrative Officer for the Strategic Commissioning Division. This move to a market facilitation role is a natural progression from the original work of WQP and means that we will be continuing our working relationship with many of you in the future.
“The Market Facilitation Team will support the external market to diversify and develop in order to deliver what our customers are asking for to support their independence. The team will support the external market to deliver services which respond to the commissioning intentions and priorities of the Local Authority, underpinned by comprehensive research and policy development.”
We will be communicating regularly with you during this transition period via email, newsletters and the website www.wqp.org.uk. We will keep you informed about how and where you will be able to access information and services in the future although I have to add that with funding as it is, the offer from the County Council may be very different.
We are working closely with the WCC Social Care Learning & Development Service (formerly the Workforce Development Service) and also Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership for Care (CWPC) in the transition process and we will explain how these functions link to our new roles and yourselves over the coming weeks.
